My understanding is that while starfleetStarfleet originally grew out of the united earth starfleet itUnited Earth, Starfleet now acts as the military arm of the federationFederation as a whole.
Despite this, I've noticed that some federationFederation members (benzitesBenzites and vulcansVulcans come to mind) also maintain their own internal starfleetsStarfleets separate tofrom the federationFederation. Has there ever been any indication of earth having it'sits own internal forces since the UFP came into being?
