Jan 14, 2016 at 20:37 | comment | added | Megha | I don't know if it helps, but I recalled a few more details - in the scene where he's trying to hide his shedding from a visitor, the text didn't specify "skin" at first, so it sounded gruesome and there were sentences like "the ear was lying next to the sink", "his hand tore off quickly", "he pulled at his face but it wasn't ready"... at least until the text got around to explaining the skin-shedding. Also I somehow failed to mention in the very long question, that the story's tone was very light and full of humor even when discussing serious topics (like being accused of murder). | |
