Eitherway petrifcation in HP doesn't really turn people to stone, just freeze them (until they drink that mandrake potion). I would imagine that putting the petrified body though a meatgrinder would be deemed "killing". | |

I'm sure Dumbledore and Harry could have arranged that together in much less time, and Dumbledore wouldn't even have to die. | |
