A possible scenario is that upon waking, Vader was too weak to continue the fight & she was nowhere in sight. He would think: If even a Sith Lord barely survived, what hope is there for a mere failed Padawan? So he left her for dead. Ahsoka, meanwhile, awakened to a similar state. She's not stupid: she won't run blindly back to Vader just because of her promise not to leave. She probably planned to return for Anakin but only when she's ready.

Vader didn't kill her, there shouldn't have been enough of Anakin present at the time (not yet) to spare her, and turning her to the dark side...are we really going down the secret apprentice path again? lol. Maybe Vader just wanted to walk away from everything for once, some sort of twisted mercy or something.
