Jul 29, 2016 at 15:13 comment added Anonymous I find it difficult to believe they do that specifically to kill the host (when we've seen them deliberately stop autonomic functions), as opposed to it being a coincidence like how our own bodies produce toxic hydrochloric acid and ammonia. Goa'uld still need to consume naquadah at some point and are stated to produce proteins which bind naquadah.
