Gravitational binding energy is equal to $3 G M^2/R$, with $G$ a constant, $M$ the mass, and $R$ the radius of the object. Supposing for simplicity that the density (ratio) $M/R$ is on average the same for the planet and the "city" (the stuff blown up on the planet's surface), the ratio of Planet power/city power is exactly equal to the ratio of their masses. We have to make further guesses about the destruction to get that ratio, but my guess is ~100. | |
