Aug 23, 2017 at 4:09 | comment | added | Obsidia | @EvSunWoodard Mine gives more information on the individual games, as well as how other Houses fared against Gryffindor (with and without Harry in play) for comparison with the Slytherin team.
Aug 23, 2017 at 3:49 | comment | added | EvSunWoodard | @Bellatrix - Okay, but I just don't see what the differentiating factor is in your answer. It doesn't seem different at all.I would love an explanation though.
Aug 23, 2017 at 3:47 | comment | added | Obsidia | @EvSunWoodard Yes, and after reading them, I decided I had a different perspective to give on the question, so I wrote my own answer. None of the others quite show how Harry being Seeker affects all Houses equally, not just Slytherin, which goes toward answering whether the Slytherin team's strategy was particularly flawed. You do also have a list of Quidditch games, but I didn't use your list at all, I compiled mine myself by searching the books for "Quidditch" then getting as much information as possible about the individual games.
Aug 23, 2017 at 3:21 | comment | added | EvSunWoodard | @Bellatrix - Right... Did you read the other answers already given?
Aug 22, 2017 at 23:28 | comment | added | Obsidia | @EvSunWoodard That's the point of my answer, the Slytherin team wasn't uniquely faring poorly in Quidditch against Harry. Everyone was. In addition, I included other Houses, as well as what happened in each game with point totals, so we could see how well all the other Houses did against Harry. The Slytherin team fared no worse against Harry and it becomes clearer when all the evidence is shown, that their losses to Harry are not due to strategic flaws but instead to Harry's talent, something no one can do anything about. For all other teams it was like racing against Usain Bolt - futile.

Aug 22, 2017 at 22:38 | comment | added | EvSunWoodard | No offense, but I'm a little confused why this answer was posted and accepted as correct. This is almost an exact duplicate of other existing answers (including mine), with less emphasis on the Slytherin perspective (which was the point of the question). Rather than saying what Slytherin does well/poorly, it just emphasizes that Harry is a good seeker, which we all know.

Aug 12, 2017 at 12:54 | comment | added | DVK-on-Ahch-To | And we see typical Slytherin apologetics from Bellatrix Black. Slytherins being biased as usual in their own house's favor. :P More seriously, amazing answer, it definitely deserves more upvotes.
