And there is a reason the Elves in Rivendell were so aghast to hear Gandalf speak Black Speech. There is also a reason that you have names like Mordor, Morannon and the like which are Elvish rather than Black Speech (though of course for Barad-dûr there is Lugbúrz and obviously Nazgûl is Black Speech too for example). | |
