Adding further note about the movie and Horus/Anubis
Jun 3, 2016 at 17:36 comment added Thunderforge To add to @Alenanno's comment, Anubis, Horus, etc were listed in the credits as the guards of Ra. They were not named on screen.
Oct 2, 2013 at 8:49 comment added Alenanno @Izkata Actually also Anubis, Horus and another one that I don't remember were represented in the Stargate movie. They were the guards. :D
Jan 25, 2013 at 20:22 comment added Simon "Imhotep was a chancellor who was promoted to divinity after his death." I don't remember the episode in question, but maybe "promoted to divinity" is a euphemism for "implanted with a Goa'uld"? That raises some questions about the name of the host vs the name of the Goa'uld, though. Unless there was some revision, it wouldn't be Imhotep both before and after implantation.

Jul 9, 2012 at 2:32 comment added ewanm89 I would also add that many had multiple names depending on gao'uld dialect and they correspond to different mythos from different cultures. Daniel has been known to list the aliases for some.

Combining the note on Zeus with that bullet point, since the site doesn't indent as far as is needed

May 23, 2012 at 23:56 comment added Izkata @NominSim Thanks, I barely even skimmed their Stargate wikia pages when putting this list together. I've edited in a note now.

added 316 characters in body
May 23, 2012 at 23:46 comment added NominSim Ah I see, upon reading the wiki link you gave it looks like Zeus was actually a Goa'uld who ruled over a planet, and that an Asgard having crashed landed there later was mistaken for his return.
May 23, 2012 at 23:43 comment added Izkata @NominSim You are correct, Zeus is the king of the Greek gods. I did say "almost all the named ones". I have the feeling that whatever medium that character appeared in, the writer(s) didn't pay attention to the show's mythology.
May 23, 2012 at 23:41 comment added NominSim Zeus isn't a Norse god AFAIK...Odin is the king of the Norse gods.
