May 12, 2018 at 1:09 comment added Lorendiac I don't think you followed my point. I was only talking about characters who belong to Marvel. I checked Wikipedia before commenting last night. Mar-Vell was "Captain Marvel" for 15 years (1967-1982). Monica Rambeau used the name for 14 years. (1982-1996.) Genis-Vell seems to have used it for 10 years (1995-2005.) So even within the Marvel Universe, Carol is in no better than fourth place in terms of who has used that name for the longest, which was what you seemed to be talking about in the bit I quoted above. That's without counting the Golden Age hero from Fawcett! :-)

May 11, 2018 at 3:05 comment added Lorendiac You said: "they mean Carol Danvers, since she's held the title longer." Longer than anyone else? According to Wikipedia, Carol Danvers only began calling herself "Captain Marvel" in 2012. Six years ago? That does not make her the Marvel character who has used the name for the longest period. (It might put her in fourth place.)
