I've never tried to construct a timeline for Lord of Light and its backstory, but my rough guess would have been that perhaps Yama was only, let's say, three or four centuries old by the climax of the novel? But that line makes hash of my idea that he was still very much "a young whippersnapper" by the standards of the first-generation "gods." | |
