May 5, 2021 at 18:53 comment added Hypnosifl @M.A.Golding - Looks like that was the episode "New Ground", Geordi was talking about the first test of soliton wave propulsion and he said "This is going to be like being there to watch Chuck Yeager break the sound barrier, or Zefram Cochrane engage the first warp drive." So that does kind of suggest Cochrane was riding on the first warp-capable ship, although it's not 100% clear.

May 5, 2021 at 15:49 comment added M. A. Golding I think that one of the TNG episodes had someone say they felt like Cochrane engaging the first warp coil. So Cohrane must have engaged the first wap coil, wether in a labratory or on a spaceship.
