Nov 3, 2012 at 4:49 comment added Doctor Doom @Mario In case of chair with wheel in ideal world, your position (relative to ground) will be unchanged. If you're flying inside with enough momentum to push the car, you don't need car to propel yourself at all.
Nov 3, 2012 at 4:46 comment added Doctor Doom @Mario You can NOT push car from inside TO PROPEL YOURSELF. Simply, conservation laws invalidates it.
Nov 3, 2012 at 4:45 comment added Doctor Doom @Mario I admit that magic dominates physics, but OP did want physics based explanation.

Nov 3, 2012 at 1:11 comment added Gabe Willard Spinning a hammer vertically would not create a pressure difference to propel him forward; it would propel him sideways.
Nov 3, 2012 at 0:41 comment added Mario In a world, where you've got a Magical Flying Bommerang Magic Hammer you're talking about physics being epic fail? Also: You CAN push a car from the inside. You just can't just "push" it, you have to use your momentum (it's easier if you're sitting on a chair with wheels and try to get it to move without touching the ground). With real cars your chances are next to nil though, simply due to your weight difference.
