Some other readers mentioned that also saved them during difficult times, if you know what I mean.

Dec 29, 2022 at 19:35	comment	added	Clockwork		I'll beg to differ. There is a continuity in which Superman was dying from sun overdose (not really but that's another story). When he learned about it, he decided to do as much as he could during what little time he had left. But mid-way, he came across a doctor (a psychiatrist of some kind I think) who was telling his patient that he was stuck and will arrive late, and was trying to convince the other person to not drop the phone and keep talking. Later, we realise that person was a child who was about to commit suicide. Despite his limited time, Superman came to comfort that child.
