"Don't tempt me Frodo! I dare not take it. Not even to keep it safe. Understand Frodo, I would use this Ring from a desire to do good. But through me, it would wield a power too great and terrible to imagine." I feel that this is implying that if the ring of power did corrupt him, he would be more powerful than Sauron himself. I would in fact think this is believable, since the ring carries a large part of Sauron's power, an augmented Gandalf, scary! | |
