Oct 24, 2014 at 11:34 comment added souichiro The Draenei are Eredar. Draenei is just a name they gave themselves, when they fled from Argus. the remaining Eredar became part of the Burning Legion. tl:dr => Draenei = Eredar without the Infection of the Legion.
Oct 20, 2014 at 16:59 comment added Omegacron The majority of the Eredar signed up with Sargeras and became infused with demonic energy. The minority that refused the deal left in exile and became the Draenei, which means "Exiled" in the Eredar tongue. The Draenei settled on a world they called Draenor. When Draenor was shattered into Outland, several clans of Draenei were warped by the magical energy - these became the Broken. The rest of the Draenei fled, eventually crashing on Azeroth.
May 8, 2014 at 18:18 comment added Sulthan You can find most of the details about the origin of the Draenei in Rise of the Horde by Christie Golden (the first chapter) However, there are some collisions with the lore that is on the wow website. For example, I remember reading on the website that the Eredar were one of the "bad" races imprisoned by the Titans and Sargeras freed them when he became corrupted.

The Black Temple boss isn't Akama himself, but the part of his soul under Illidan's control

May 20, 2011 at 0:57 comment added Ellesa (cont.) The Lost Ones are basically a subset of the Broken. Some members of the Broken crossed the Dark Portal from the Outlands (Draenor) to Azeroth. Missing their homeland, they lost their sanity and devolved to become the Lost Ones.
May 20, 2011 at 0:49 comment added Ellesa Velen, Kil'jaeden and Archie all came from Argus. They used to be all buddy-buddy until Sargeras came along. Little is known about the status quo of their home planet though. They're all eredar. Basically, there are 2 offshoots of the eredar: the draenei (exiles) and the man'ari (bad guys).
