Sep 30, 2014 at 21:44 comment added David Conrad I don't think that follows. Perhaps we could conclude that Sauron hadn't looked through his own palantir, but how would that show that he was "unable, or unwilling" to do so? It is possible that his attention was simply not on Isengard.
