Jun 30, 2017 at 18:24 | comment | added | Valorum | @shim - I'm agreeing with you. It probably takes a whole barrelfull of effort and may be beyond the abilities of a single changeling

Jun 30, 2017 at 18:23 | comment | added | Valorum | @shim - Without a complete body (to circulate and re-oxygenate), blood probably can't be kept for more than a few hours.

Jun 30, 2017 at 18:21 | comment | added | Valorum | @shim - Blood needs to be kept fresh or it'll congeal
Jun 30, 2017 at 18:16 | comment | added | shim | Odo's blood was drawn and it did not revert into its gelatinous state. If they could do this to Odo, then why didn't the changelings who had their blood drawn in earlier episodes do the same thing? Maybe it requires a lot of effort to that … i.e. can only be done within the Great Link.

Such precise internal mimicry was beyond Odo's abilities, but was common practice among the Founders in general - when they assumed a physical form, it was completely impervious to scans. His ability to bleed actual blood, however, is a plot hole.
