Why does the id monster in Forbidden Planet do what it does during the first two visitsId Monster not simply kill everyone?

I have some problemsWe know that Morbius has not only increased his intelligence by playing with the movie where I neededKrell technology, but without realizing it allowed his subconscious Id the access to find explanationsa matter projecting machine with nearly unlimited power.

If we ignore the need to build up tension, why does the monsterWhy does the monster first sabotage the ship and then (on the second visit) kill Chief Engineer Quinn instead of just annihilating the whole spaceship?

The only reason I could see ispersonally was that MorbiusMorbius' ego wanted that other people to share what he found out about the Krell and therefore subconsciously(subconsciously) did not want that the ship leave again.

The correct interpretation of the behavior of Why does the id monster in Forbidden Planet do what it does during the first two visits?

[Spoiler alert]

I have some problems with the movie where I needed to find explanations and I hope that my educated guesses are fitting the plot.

So far, so good.

First question: If we ignore the need to build up tension, why does the monster

first sabotages the ship and then on the 2nd visit kills Chief Engineer Quinn instead of annihilating the whole spaceship ? The only reason I see is that Morbius ego wanted that other people share what he found out about the Krell and therefore subconsciously did not want that the ship leave again.

Second question: Given the knowledge aboutThe only reason I see is that Morbius ego wanted that other people share what we know

why does the monster do not appear immediately where it is sent ? My guess is that Morbius mind is still very limited and therefore the behavior of the matter projection is erratic.

Third question: In the final the monster

melts through an almost indestructible door. It is never explained how does it manage it. Is the thing not only a projection but have something like an independent mind and is therefore able to use the machine to project a heat ray against the door ?!

And the last: Wikipedia states: "He then confrontshe found out about the creature but this act triggers a backlash inKrell and therefore subconsciously did not want that the Great Machine which mortally injures himship leave again."

Sorry, but what I see is

that the thing actually murders Morbius. The terrified faces of both the Commander and the daughter of Morbius tell me that Morbius is assaulted badly. Because the monster is driven by bad emotions it ignores that killing Morbius will destroy itself.
