Magical items can be anything that has been infused with some kind of spell or other magical power. They are quite popular in fantasy fiction, and range from rare (the One Ring in Lord of the Rings) to common (portkeys in Harry Potter). Many magical items have considerable side effects to balance their use (Sanderson's First Law), and care needs to be taken to avoid injury.
