Jul 16, 2015 at 15:37 | comment | added | Shamshiel | @Zikato: The T-1000 is an advanced prototype that Skynet sent back as a last resort, not the usual kind of Terminator in that timeline. James Cameron mentioned Skynet was actually afraid of the T-1000. Skynet sent the T-800 and T-1000 back at the same time.

Jul 16, 2015 at 7:45 | comment | added | Dr R Dizzle | Well the T800's goal was to kill Sarah Connor, not create Skynet. If Skynet wanted to create itself, would it not send back a Terminator (or other robot) with that purpose instead?
Jul 16, 2015 at 7:16 | comment | added | Zikato | That's not true. Skynet would be created one way or another. Remains of T-800 only made the progress go faster that's why in T2 the terminator is much more advanced (liquid metal).
