If we knew for certain that she was unable to break the barrier, that would be some pretty good evidence. I would say, they are probably too evenly matched. They are from the same stock. Melian guarding her home would likely prevail in maintaining the barrier. But would lose or fight to a draw in a battle on even ground, as Sauron is more practiced in battle magic. | |
