There was this cartoon where the protagonist was a little girl. She lived with her grandfather (he might not be her grandfather but was definitely old). They lived in a cold area and they also had a dog. The story revolved around their day-to-day life. Nothing out of the blue ever happened. Also, as the story progressed few more characters were added. One of them was a boy of the same age as the girl.

However, I can't see what is SFF-nal about this cartoon, was there anything? If not this is off topic for SFF I'm afraid. – TheLethalCarrot Jun 14 '18 at 8:09

Sounds like "Heidi, Girl of the Alps", anyway. – lfurini Jun 14 '18 at 11:22

@Ifurini Bingo! I don't know why I liked it so much. Maybe it was the cold weather and mountains. – peerless Jun 14 '18 at 12:02
