I'm looking for a YA trilogy I read probably over 6 or 7 years ago now.

I believe I only read the first book, and the only defining features I can remember is the fact that each book was printed in a different color. The one I had read had a blue cover and the text inside was printed in a dark navy blue.

It had a female protagonist, I think she had an animal sidekick but I could be very wrong, and I remember that she went and explored a possibly abandoned apartment building?

You have a good start with the colours of the book being different, could you also perhaps go through this list and see if there are any other details you could remember? – fez Sep 28 at 16:05

What about this is science-fiction or fantasy? – Jenayah Sep 28 at 16:08
  • @Jenayah It’s flagged as dystopia. – Buzz Sep 28 at 22:17
  • Doesn't fit the rest of your recollections, but reminded me of Red, White & Blue by Robert Leeson, which (in the edition I read) is printed in three different colours to reflect three different versions of the story the narrator is telling. – Showsni Sep 29 at 13:47
