Robin Hobb is a pen name of novelist Margaret Astrid Lindholm Ogden. She is primarily known for her fantasy works in "The Realm of the Elderlings": the Farseer Trilogy, the Liveship Traders Trilogy, the Tawny Man Trilogy and the Rain Wilds Chronicles. She has also written the Soldier Son Trilogy, which draws strongly on myths of the American Frontier, and several works under the name of Megan Lindholm.
