I am a fan of _Star Trek_. I've watched most episodes of all the series (especially _Star Trek: the Next Generation_, and not counting _Star Trek: Enterprise_), I've seen the movies, I can even tell you how Captain Picard likes his tea. I watched _Star Trek: Into Darkness_, and I liked it. It certainly has its flaws, but overall I quite enjoyed it. However, there seem to be purists who consider it one of the worst _Star Trek_ movies ever, maybe even worse than _Star Trek V: The Final Frontier_. **What are some _Star Trek_-related reasons that a _Star Trek_ fan would rank this film near the bottom of the list of _Star Trek_ films?** ---- _This is not meant to imply that only a Trekkie could hate the movie nor that a Trekkie could only hate it for Trek-related reasons. I am just curious about the phenomenon of Trekkies hating it for Trek-related reasons._
