Continuity, in this site's context, refers to how continuous two different works in the same franchise are. This usually means consistency, but could relate to other concepts.

Continuity, on the whole, relates to the consistency of history for a work of fiction. That is, how much one story in the mythos is related and isn't, or doesn't, contradict another point in the same franchise or series.
