Is there anywhere that sets intent of Star Trek to even be a continuous serial rather than an “anthology” series of dates? Fans’ concern over “Star Date” chronology generally appears to give that far more concern than show’s creators ever did.

Ackbar’s association to the B-Wing was introduced by WEG in their Strike Force: Shantipole adventure module in 1988. The B-Wing had already been a B-Wing for some 5 years before this fictional EU association was created in-universe to provide the now Legends’ B-Wing origin.
