Big fan of hard science fiction. Near-future stuff on human potential (BCIs, neuroenhancement), big-picture space exploration, post-singularity speculation, and some post-apocalyptic stuff.
I'm bored by the pilpul of popular franchises and the asking of questions that require the shoehorning of canon into scenarios not considered by the creators. I feel like this kind of sums it all up. I do love the ability to crowd-source story identification, though.
