comment What was the deeper meaning of Hermione wanting the cloak?
I would add, not just pure facts but practicality. Hermione is a pragmatist. That and the added bonus that the cloak is non-violent.

comment Would Yoda have made a better teacher for Anakin than Obi-Wan was?
Agree with this answer best, perhaps make it more explicit that Yoda would have failed because he was an extremist jerk.

comment How come Korra could bend three elements so young before training?
This is also something of a “why are things the way they are?” kind of question. Why are some kids born able to compose music with no training, while others are tone-deaf? Etc. Korra is a different person than Aang.

comment Do the people in The Truman Show spend their whole day inside?
I would add that Truman wasn’t necessarily raised with the same experiences as normal people. He shows himself to be very isolated. That is, outside of the regular cast, he may not think anything of seeing completely random people outside of his acquaintance, far more than a tiny, isolated community would ever support, simply because that is what he was raised with. Even when he begins to notice things, he thinks nothing of where these unknown people are coming from, only that, say, there are suddenly a lot of cars on the road. It would be easy to swap “extras” at any time.

I am sure there are multiple exits to which all the show’s staff has access. The only people who wouldn’t regularly use them would be the main cast.

comment Can the Room of Requirement bring people, if a person was to need someone else?
@Draconis I think you have the crux of a correct answer. The ROR (as with all magic we know of in the HPU) cannot magically create living beings/things, but it can provide access to such.

comment Who becomes Head of House if there is no teacher from that house?
But the question is what if there isn’t. (And I think the answer is still the Headmaster appoints one, even if the appointee is not of the house. Being a teacher is not the same as being a student.)

Only the penultimate paragraph really contradicts my opinion, but as fact I can only list the possibilities and mark my opinion as such.

comment Where did they get the bicorn horn from?
“This implies that the bicorn horn did not come from Snape's supplies” No, that’s not how implications work. All we know is that Snape did not mention it. Agreed also that this question is confusing events and consequences. Be careful not to go overboard when trying to read between the lines. Sometimes the cigar is just a cigar. comment Why bother with the search for Horcruxes?
...because, clearly, no one in the HP universe has ever thought to capture, trap, or deprive Voldemort before... Surely, an easy premise change makes defeating the bad guys sooo much easier.

comment Why bother with the search for Horcruxes?
Why would anything I wrote imply anything like that? Unless you are suggesting Voldemort is dumb enough to turn his unprotected back to an active opponent, the only other possibility is that the caster has caused the spell to turn or reverse in order to strike in the back. My question remains: at what point in any part of the HP universe have you seen any spell (intentionally) do that? (Wildly ricocheting off of stuff doesn’t count.) HP spells are straight-up line of sight kinds of things.

@RalfFriedl Dumbledore disarmed Grindelwald. Until a movie / JKR clarifies how that fight went, we can assume that Grindelwald simply screwed up in the fight — just as happens in any fight in real life.

@vsz Where is there any instance of any spell striking from the back? Assuming you want to do something tricky, you must also assume preparation. This isn't D&D.
