Mar 12, 2018 at 18:03 comment added JohnP @NKCampbell - By the comment on the answer below by Bella, appears origin fire of any kind turns green.

Mar 12, 2018 at 16:48 comment added JohnP @Valorum - Yes, I know as evidenced by a similar question on M&TV. I'm not asking about the difference in the normal fire scenes, but why the one fire (departing) is green, but the incoming side is yellow.

Mar 12, 2018 at 16:41 comment added Valorum The movie examples seem to be different directorial choices depicting the same magic
Mar 12, 2018 at 16:32 comment added NKCampbell Yup - @JohnP - I didn't find any mention of green fire if just the face was in the fire. Green appears to be directly in relation to floo transport. My comment re: Molly was that the face doesn't appear to just be a 'video' or virtual representation, as Molly is able to stick food in Diggory's mouth; his head is physically there in their house
Mar 12, 2018 at 16:08 comment added JohnP @NKCampbell - Yes, the movies give visual examples. I don't have the books in front of me, but I know the origin fireplace is given as green in the books, and I think in the first convo's with Sirius, it says something about it just appearing in the fire, no mention of color change.
Mar 12, 2018 at 16:07 comment added Shreedhar According to the books, there is no distinction between Arthur's or Sirius' appearance. It's just in the movies (for better effects I guess).
Mar 12, 2018 at 16:06 comment added Shreedhar Maybe the Floo network was updated to Floo 2.0 :p
Mar 12, 2018 at 15:56 comment added NKCampbell interesting question - assuming you are meaning books as well - even though the examples given in the question are film? In book 4, we are shown Molly Weasly giving Amos Diggory's head a bite to eat through their fireplace and no mention of fire color changing to green
