Jun 6, 2018 at 19:24 | comment | added | RDFozz | @maguirenumber6 - The Forgotten One was an Eternal who had (theoretically) been the inspiration for multiple figure of myth and folklore, one of whom was Gilgamesh. As "the Forgotten One" isn't the best name for character you're giving higher visibility, so they adopted the name Gilgamesh for him. The new creative team didn't stay on the book long, and neither did Gilgamesh. That costume was changed almost immediately, and Gilgamesh (mostly a strongman type) was replaced by Sersi (an Eternal with a different power set) by Avengers 310 or so.

Jul 10, 2012 at 18:39 | comment | added | Mario | Oh, interesting. So the symbol is not related to the actual comic (e.g. all with Spider-Man or someone else depending on the year?) or are they still related to the actual content (e.g. Flash on a Flash comic, Spider-Man on a Spider-Man comic)? EDIT: Just noticed the pictured comic on the right seems to be Fantastic Four with a Flash icon?
