Looking for a Sci 1980s sci-Fi Animefi anime film from mid to late 1980swith a scene where a human boy and an alien are walking through a swamp, and the alien is caught and killed by living vines

Now the details I have are vague, but I remember that there was a human boy who was accompanied by an adult sized-sized alien, who I think was hairy and maybe had a sort of ant eater lookinganteater-looking face.
