Jun 25, 2015 at 0:08 comment added Wad Cheber I would imagine that the concept of humans being taken from the earth, brought somewhere else, then being returned, predates the concept of aliens in the sense that we use the term. If we substitute something like "abducted by beings from outside of earth" for the word "aliens", we'll probably have tons of stories from ancient times, mostly involving gods.
Jun 24, 2015 at 23:08 comment added ypercubeᵀᴹ @cde nice but Zeus was not an alien.
Jun 24, 2015 at 23:06 comment added user16696 On a practical point, that's where Clarke's Third Law comes in.
Jun 24, 2015 at 23:02 comment added Praxis @cde : Lol. But...was he a god or an alien? (I'm sure there was at least one question about Loki's god status not that long ago.)

Jun 24, 2015 at 19:05 comment added Praxis @Himarm : Nice one! That might work, actually.
Jun 24, 2015 at 18:58 comment added Himarm i immediately thought of en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out_of_the_Silent_Planet but then i remembered it wasnt an alien abduction, but a human on human abduction from earth to another planet, but it is from 38 so its a quite old sci-fi abduction story haha.
