Sci-Fi geek girl from San Francisco. It started from reading my father's book collection and watching re-runs of Star Trek the original series as a kid. So, I have a special place in my heart for space operas. I have to admit (somewhat sheepishly) that I am obsessed with Stargate Atlantis and even went to a Stargate convention. Having been to WonderCon and Comic-Con previously, I actually preferred the intimacy of it.

With TV, I am more forgiving, but with books I prefer the Sci-Fi to be somewhat believable (hard-medium range). I generally find it harder to get into fantasy due to the premise of magical stuff. But some of it is really good. I loved the first Game of Thrones book and of course Lord of the Rings is a masterpiece.
