Your mind filters out (for the most part) the feeling of the sand, so you can feel for the (dropped part, rock, etc.) without having to dump the whole bucket into a sieve. Kitty's mind knows she wants to pass through the wall, take her clothes with her, and not fall through the floor. I imaging there were some accidents early on, but those aren't shown in the comic... | |
